Girls between 15 to 44 years faces Endometriosis.

Girls between 15 to 44 years faces Endometriosis.

Endo means internal and endometriosis means womb. Endometriosis is a situation where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other areas of your body.

A woman’s reproductive system consists of vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

When a menstrual cycle starts, ovaries produce a chemical called hormones which signal to the lining of the uterus to thicken the filling, which is called the endometrium. It builds up to receive a fertilized egg.

The uterus goes through the lining through your vagina if the egg isn’t fertilized, and it is the monthly bleeding, which is known as a menstrual cycle or, in other words, periods.

How Endometriosis occurs?

During this condition, the lining type tissue grows outside the uterus for the reason that it isn’t clear. The misplaced tissue responds to the hormones in the same manner as it responds inside the womb.

The tissue continues to thicken and then sheds and bleeds with every menstrual cycle. However, the blood and tissue outside the uterus have no way to leave the body. Hence the trapped endometrial flow can affect the surrounded area, which causes redness and pain.

Adhesions can form, which cause sticking to one organ to another, which causes the fallopian tubes to close. This situation can affect your ability to become pregnant.

Endometriosis can cause endometrioma, which creates a chocolate cyst in the ovaries. It is fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries that can affect fertility. This disorder may lead to abnormal bleeding.

Endometriosis is a health problem for women. According to studies, at least 11% of women are affected with this condition and the girls whose age is between 15 to 44 years.
