Girls get their first period when they are in school. Ten schools in Varanasi installed Sanitary Napkin Vending machines and Incinerators on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. With the tireless efforts of Ankur Kumar and Kumudini Educational cum Charitable trust; ten schools of Varanasi’s backward village installed Sanitary Pad Vending Machine and Incinerators; on the request of Shri Mitesh Patel Ji and support of Mr. Sheru Angarish Ji.
On this occasion, Ankur Kumar of Kumudini Charitable Trust expressed his gratitude for choosing Kumudini Education cum Charitable Trust of Patna for the noble cause. He stated that his organization is constantly ahead in this kind of work. They will also expand this campaign on a large scale, including those separated from the main section of the society in Bihar. He further stated that a large team in the community in which the women cannot use sanitary napkins and lack period knowledge causes various menstrual disorders to women. More and more machines will be installed to create awareness regarding period products and provide period education to women.
On this occasion, Shri Harendra Rai of Secondary Education Commission and Shri Shiv Sharan Pathak Representative of Varanasi Lok Sabha were also present.
